Life is a circle

I was reading a book of the Jaina traditions in which i found a very interesting classification about the life cycles and I think the writer has taken a good take in defining the circle of life.

As per the Jaina pantheon, we have six cycles which include
1) Suhusma-Suhusma--During this period happiness and bliss prevailed on earth and life was like heaven on earth.

2)Suhusma--From bliss life cam to a more earthly plane. Human beings were happy but minus the supreme bliss.

3)Suhusma-duhusma--Happiness prevailed but dukkha(sorrow) also made its appearance on the earth. Man become more materialistic and had less control on emotions.

4) Duhusma-Suhusma-Sorrows become more overwhelming than
happiness. Life become mean, cheating, lies and untruth became powerful.

5) Duhusma--The present age sorrow are supreme, desire is overpowering and there is no salvation. Some times happiness gives aglimpse.

6) Duhusma-Duhsma--Incest, killing, rapine and murder rock the world. It will start after 10000 years. The world will come to end.

The Law School

This poem is by a young girl of The Law School, Jammu University.
Suninderjeet Kour writes about her breezy experiences at the Law School.

The Law School

Full of knowledge, fun and zest
A place unlike the rest, we consider it the best

A place where thinking, efforts and people interact
A place where guides, friends and philosophers properly react

A place having great caring, where there are positive deliberations and right critiques
Due to some noble efforts was it born where great teachers wish us to carry us from Dusk to Dawn.

I came across it when I was as dejected as I could be

Like a soothing breeze it brought comfort and put me at ease.
It gave me words when I couldn’t speak.
It became by support when I was weak.

It gave me trust when I was cheated .
It gave me strength when I was defeated.
It gave me hope when there was none
It made every thing so much fun.
It is the wind that made me fly.
It makes me laugh it makes me cry.

It gives me happiness when I was in tears.
It gave me courage when I was in fears.
It became sunshine when I was in rain.
It gave me comfort when I was in pain.

I am glad that I am associated with such a pool
It is peaceful and cool.
You know what it is !
It is the 'Law School'.
